Purpose

This test is intended to identify whether the device can trigger a successful handover with an inter frequency handover in 4G mode.

Test Infrastructure

  • Celona network HO Setup

  • Device under test

  • Celona Orchestrator

  • RF Shield box

  • Programmable attenuator

  • Attenuation script/mechanism to trigger HO

  • Wireshark

Test Characteristics

This test does not involve parameters or variables other than those described in the General Test Details and Characteristics section.

Recorded Data

In addition to the information described in the General Test Details and Characteristics sections, the following information is captured:

  • Number of successful handovers

  • Time taken for the HO success

  • Handover events on CSO UI page

  • Capture the reasons for handover failures from TCP dump capture

  • Capture screenshot for the handover graph from CSO UI

Procedure

  • Try configuring a site with two Access points and add the same CPI (Latitude/Longitude) for both APs.

  • Login to CSO UI and go to the AP details page.

  • Validate the allocated frequency spectrum is set to Inter frequency (different frequency to both APs)

  • Try connecting the device under test with a network.

  • Login to the CSO UI AP details page and ensure the neighbors are populated in CSO UI for both APs.

  • Trigger the HO script or attenuation to start HO.
