Why is Celona transitioning from AP22-48 to AP24?

Celona is transitioning to AP24 to provide a future-ready indoor 5G platform with broader spectrum support and enhanced deployment flexibility.

This transition:

  • Expands from single-band (n48) to multi-band (n48, n77, n78H)

  • Enables external antenna support for directional and industrial use cases

  • Simplifies deployments with a single global indoor SKU


What is the replacement product?

AP24-48|77|78H

  • Single SKU covering 3550–4200 MHz

  • Designed for enterprise and industrial indoor deployments

  • Supports global private 5G spectrum bands


Is AP24 a drop-in replacement?

Yes, from a network and software perspective.

  • Same Celona OS

  • Same Orchestrator Day0/1/n workflows

  • Same PoE++ deployment model

Physical deployment may differ when using external antennas.


Will mixed deployments (AP22 and AP24) be supported?

Yes.

  • Fully supported within the same site

  • No impact to mobility, handover, or management

  • Enables phased migration


Do I need to re-qualify or re-test?

No.

  • Same software stack
