General Test Details and Characteristics

The following details/ characteristics are recorded for every test suite:

• Test date

• Device name/ model

• Device form factor

• Device OS/ version

• Device SIM type/ form factor

• Device Carrier Aggregation (CA) support

• Device IP Domain configuration

• Celona CSO software version

• Celona Edge type

• Celona Edge software version

• Celona AP type/ hardware revision

• Celona AP firmware version

• Celona AP TDD config

• Celona AP transmit power

• test software/ version (if used)

• Raw output from test tools (if generated/ available)

TDD Configuration Setup Details:

Steps to configure Uplink Heavy (DSUUU)configuration for 4G/5G AP:

  1. Log in to the Orchestrator

  2. Go to Admin Settings -> Wireless Configurations -> Create Template

  3. Select TDD Configuration as Uplink Heavy

  4. Click on Create & Apply

  5. Go to the AP details page -> Access Point Config

  6. Validate that TDD (Time Division Duplex) is set as Uplink Heavy

Steps to configure Downlink Heavy (DDDSUU_DDDD) configuration for 4G/5G AP:

  1. Log in to the Orchestrator

  2. Go to Admin Settings -> Wireless Configurations -> Create Template

  3. Select TDD Configuration as Downlink Heavy

  4. Click on Create & Apply

  5. Go to the AP details page -> Access Point Config

  6. Validate that TDD (Time Division Duplex) is set as Downlink Heavy

Steps to configure Balanced (DDDSUUUU_DD) configuration for 4G/5G AP:

  1. Log in to the Orchestrator

  2. Go to Admin Settings -> Wireless Configurations -> Create Template

  3. Select TDD Configuration as Balanced

  4. Click on Create & Apply

  5. Go to the AP details page -> Access Point Config

  6. Validate that TDD (Time Division Duplex) is set as Balanced

MicroSlice Configuration on the Orchestrator:

Steps to configure a MicroSlice:

  1. Log in to the Orchestrator

  2. Go to Applications -> Create Application -> define server port range (start/end)

  3. Click on Create Application

  4. Go to Device Groups -> Create New -> add devices

  5. Go to MicroSlices -> Create MicroSlice -> select GBR or Non-GBR -> select quality of service (as per test plan) -> select device group -> IP Domain -> Select Application

  6. Click on Create MicroSlice

Supernetting Configuration on the Orchestrator

Steps to configure supernetting:

  1. Log in to the Orchestrator

  2. Go to Edge Clusters -> select a cluster -> add advanced network config -> add subnet

  3. Go to Device Groups -> edit a device group -> select the edge cluster -> add an advanced network config template

Dual SIM Config

  • Install one public SIM (Verizon in this example)

  • Enable the Wi-Fi Calling option available on the public SIM

  • Enable Wi-Fi Calling on the phone

  • Check Data Roaming on the SIM

  • Ensure Data Roaming is enabled on the SIM.

  • Install the Celona data SIM as the 2nd SIM.

  • Configure Cellular Data to use Celona data SIM

  • Configure Default Voice Line to use the public SIM

  • Allow Cellular Data Switching under Celona Data SIM

GeoFence mobileconfig file

Make changes in the mobileConfig Profile file for Geofence

  • Open Xcode or TextEdit to modify the mobileconfig template file

  • Configure with the specific geo location and the range size in the file

  • Install the mobileConfig Profile onto iPhone

  • Go to Settings → General

  • AirDrop the mobileConfig file to iPhone

  • The iPhone shows Profile Downloaded and enter Close

  • iPhone shows the downloaded profile under VPN & Device Management. Click on the profile line

  • Click Install

  • Confirm and Install

  • The figure below shows the new mobileconfig profile for Geofence installed

  • Ensure Wi-Fi is disabled when testing GeoFence

  • iPhone shows WiFi has been greyed out on the Center Control screen

Additional parameters and variables may be recorded for specific test suites.
