The version we tested has a built-in Sierra Wireless EM7511 modem.

Configuration - Windows 10

When we first received this device in early 2020 there were no special configurations required. However, recent updates to the Windows 10 OS (Sept/Oct 2021) mean you will need to enter an APN for the tablet to conenct.

Go to Windows Settings, select Network & Internet, and then Cellular from the left-hand menu. Select the Advanced Options link on the cellular page, and under APN Settings click the button to Add an APN.

Enter the following settings;

  • Profile Name: Celona

  • APN: default

  • User name: blank

  • Password: blank

  • Type of sign-in info: None

  • IP Type: IPv4

  • APN Type: Internet & Attach

  • Apply to this Profile: Checked

Click save, and your new APN should be activated. Disable and re-enable the cellular modem to complete your connection.

Here is a recording of our early experience with the Zebra L10 tablet, installed with Windows 10 operating system. It is the ideal ruggedized tablet for supply chain operations in logistics and warehousing.

Unique to Windows 10, administrators can define which applications on the L10 have to take advantage of private LTE wireless connectivity - enabling predictable performance for critical business apps and use cases supported by L10 when connected to an enterprise wireless network.
