The Devices Page

The Devices page in Celona Orchestrator shows the status of all devices registered to your Celona network. A Device corresponds to a physical SIM or eSIM registered to your network.

You may search the Devices list by IMSI, ICCID, Name, or Device Group. Use the filter dropdown menus above the list to filter by Device Group, Edge Cluster, Status (Provisioned or Activated), Connection state, or SIM Type.

Click the hamburger menu in the upper-right of the Devices list to customize which columns are shown in the list.

Click a device's IMSI to open its Device Details page.

To activate a device in Provisioned state, click Activate next to its entry in the Devices list. Assign the device an Edge Cluster and a name, and click Activate. The activation process should complete within a few seconds.

A black notification box will appear at the top of your screen notifying you that activation was successful.

You may later change a device's name in its Device Details page.

To deactivate a device, click Deactivate next to its entry in the Devices list. You will be prompted to confirm the deactivation before it is processed. The deactivation process should complete within a few seconds.

To assign a device to a Device Group, click Assign next to its entry in the Devices list. You will be prompted to select from a list of created Device Groups. If no Device Groups have been created, the list will be blank.

To create a Device Group, navigate to Device Groups from the Celona Orchestrator main menu, or select Create Device Group in the upper-right of the Devices page.

To perform a bulk activation, deactivation, or Device Group assignment of multiple devices, click the checkbox next to each device on which you wish to perform the operation, and click the Assign, Activate, or Deactivate button in the upper-right of the Devices page.

A black notification box will appear at the top of your screen notifying you that the bulk operation was successful.

Device Details

The Device Details page in Celona Orchestrator shows configuration and monitoring information about a device on the Celona network, including its identifiers, connectivity status, data usage history, and an event timeline.

To open the Device Details page for a device, click its IMSI in the Devices page in Celona Orchestrator.

The Device Details card shows the device's name, SIM type, ICCID, IMSI, Device Group and IP Domain name, Edge Cluster, and activation status.

If this device is a gateway and you wish to configure supernetting for its client device subnet, add each subnet in the Gateway - Route Management section.

The Traffic card shows the device's downlink and uplink utilization (Mbps) and aggregate bandwidth consumption over a time period.

You may change the selected time period using the dropdown in the upper-right of the Traffic card.

Connectivity Status

The Connectivity Status card shows an overview of the device's connectivity status and, if connected, information about the Celona Access Point and Edge Cluster to which it is connected.

If a device is not connected, its Connectivity Status is Offline and its last known IP address is displayed. Its Connected AP History list shows all Access Points to which the device previously connected.

Device Connectivity Status shows how long a device has been connected, its IP address, and a history of all Access Points to which it has connected.

Open the Connected AP History list by selecting clicking the arrow next to Connected AP History.

To retrieve configuration information about an AP this device has previously connected to, click the arrow next to its name in the Connected AP History list.

To change the time period for the Connected AP History list, click the current time period selected under Connected AP History.

Access Point Connectivity Status shows information about the Access Point to which this device is currently connected: its name, Site name, and status.

Edge Cluster Connectivity Status shows information about the Edge Cluster to which this device is currently connected: its name and status.

Event Timeline

The Event Timeline card shows a history of all Attach, Detach, and Handover (mobility) Events a device underwent in the past 7 days.

To see the Event Timeline for a device, it must be connected to a Celona Edge running version 2206 or above.

Each Event type (e.g. Attach) is composed of multiple messages that make up that Event (e.g. an “Attach Accept” message for an Attach Event). To view the messages that compose an Event, click the dropdown to the right of that Event.

Each message within an Event contains a timestamp of when that message was sent.

The time range listed next to an Event indicates the start and end of that Event.

The Event Timeline supports filtering by Event type, status (success/failure), and a time range. You may also use the search bar to search for an Event type, status, or UTC timestamp.

The Event Timeline will automatically refresh every 90 seconds to fetch new device Events. To manually refresh the Timeline, click the Refresh button in the upper-right of the Timeline card.
