Introduction

Celona offers the flexibility to upgrade components such as Edge, Access Points (AP), and Sites with just a click, streamlining your network's upgrade management. Starting from software release 2406, the upgrade option is available to customer admin users, allowing greater control over the deployment of software updates. Admins can schedule, modify, and delete upgrades using the Celona Orchestrator.

Accessing Upgrade Settings

  1. Login to the Celona Orchestrator using your Admin credentials.

  2. On the main Menu, navigate to Admin Settings → Software Upgrades.

  3. The Software Upgrades page lists all the network components, such as Edges and APs, that can be upgraded.

Upgrade Features

Celona’s upgrade feature allows customer admin users to schedule, modify, and delete software upgrades for Edge, APs, and Sites.

Note: The Schedule Upgrade feature, accessible via the options menu, is available starting from software release 2406. However, this feature will only be visible if your network components are on a minimum software version of 2402.

The Software Upgrades page provides an option to plan and schedule upgrades at convenient times. The admin can initiate the upgrade right away or schedule it for a future time (a maximum of seven days from now).

Modifying a Scheduled Upgrade

If you need to adjust the details of a scheduled upgrade, such as changing the time, date, or version, you can modify the upgrade using the options provided in the Celona Orchestrator.

Note: You can only modify a scheduled upgrade if it has not started and is more than 5 minutes before it starts.

Here’s how to modify an upgrade:
