September 30th, 2026 - 2026.1 AP and Edge Release
5G Access Point version: 2026.ap.1.0.0.0-148
Edge version: 2026.edge.1.0.0.0-322
Orchestrator version: 2026.orch.1.0.0.0-501
New features
HA 2.0 active-active edge clusters - Edge clusters can now run as two- or three-node active-active clusters, with devices automatically failing over to a surviving node if an edge node, port or core service becomes unavailable.
Guided migration from 2411 to 2026.1 - A new Migrate to V2 workflow on the Edge Cluster page upgrades an existing 2411 site, edge and access points together, with step-by-step progress, clear failure messages and a retry action. The button is always visible and explains why a site is not yet eligible when pre-conditions are not met.
Edge upgrades with automatic rollback - Edge clusters now upgrade one node at a time so the site keeps serving devices throughout. If any node fails to upgrade, successfully upgraded nodes are automatically rolled back so the cluster never runs mixed versions.
Access point upgrades with device handover - Site upgrades now proceed AP by AP, moving connected devices to neighboring APs before each AP upgrades and waiting for it to return to service before moving on. This minimizes coverage and session disruption during maintenance.
Upgrade and bring-up stage tracking - The Orchestrator now shows the current, completed and remaining stages for edge cluster, edge node and AP upgrades and bring-up, with the failure reason surfaced on the timeline when a stage does not complete. AP upgrade states now follow the same format as edge node upgrades on the Software Upgrades page.
Automatic upgrade of factory-shipped units - Edge and AP hardware shipped with 2411 factory images now upgrades automatically to 2026.1 when deployed into an HA 2.0 site, removing a manual step from new installations.
20 MHz channels on n77 and n78 - Sites using AP22 or AP21 on bands n77 and n78 can now be configured with 20 MHz channel bandwidth.
Improvements
5G APs adopt core address changes without rebooting - When the core's AMF address changes, 5G APs now reconnect to the new address in place rather than rebooting. This keeps cells in service during core maintenance and failover.
Faster, more consistent device failover - Tuned failover handling so devices resume traffic more quickly when a user-plane or session-management service restarts, and brief link blips no longer trigger unnecessary failovers.
Clearer AP reboot reasons - Reboot reasons are now recorded on every shutdown path and mapped centrally in the Orchestrator, so the reported reason matches the actual cause, including AerFlex and 4G APs that previously showed a generic internal error. Duplicate reboot reports for a single event have been removed.
Additional AP self-recovery - A CPU watchdog on AP24, AP25 and AP26 now provides a backup recovery path if the AP becomes unresponsive, and AP disk housekeeping has been improved to preserve active logs.
External network domain configuration - Creating external network domains on HA clusters now supports interface selection, static IP addressing on RJ45 port 2 and VLAN details, with required fields clearly marked.
Configuration consistency across HA nodes - Configuration changes, including RADIUS server settings, are now applied to every node in an HA cluster, and IP domain and device profile edits take effect on the edge immediately.
Neighbor list management - Neighbor relations are now updated on existing APs automatically when a new AP is added to a site.
Upgrade robustness - Hardened AP and edge upgrade flows against duplicate upgrade instances, stale target versions, unreachable nodes and invalid version requests, with faster, clearer failure reporting when an upgrade cannot proceed.
Local Edge Manager improvements - The Edge Manager now prompts you to replace the default password and enforces password complexity rules. It also shows clearer error messages and displays the appliance serial number on the sign-in page.
Fixes
AP admin down state - The AP Admin Down control in the Orchestrator now reflects the AP's actual state, and admin down performs a graceful shutdown of the AP's core connection.
AP operational status accuracy - APs no longer appear down in the Orchestrator while physically up and serving, including during ISM hibernation and immediately after an edge reboot.
Active device counts - Active device counts on the AP details page and AP list now match the number of devices actually connected.
PTP leader configuration sync - The PTP leader list is now kept consistent between the Orchestrator and the edge, and PTP servers deleted in the UI are removed from the display.
Timing source changes on AP20 and AP25 - AP20 and AP25 now switch cleanly from GNSS to PTP when directed, and APs no longer bring up the cell before PTP is phase-locked.
Edit Site and Edit RAN Config - Edit Site now saves bandwidth changes and shows all configured spectrum types, and Edit RAN Config displays recommended power and no longer sends empty configuration updates.
Site reset handling - Site and single-AP resets now complete when APs had previously failed registration, and the reset banner clears once registration finishes.
AerFlex AP stability - Resolved conditions that could cause AerFlex APs to reboot repeatedly after a power cycle or a core address change.
AerFlex auto-discovery timing - APs in auto-discovery mode without a time source now fall back to free-running timing as expected.
Site deletion - Sites can be deleted without error, and removing APs from a site no longer returns a spectrum error.
Neighbor display - The Orchestrator now displays the correct neighbors for each AP, and duplicate or stale AP records no longer place incorrect identifiers in neighbor relations.
July 18th, 2026 - Orchestrator version 2026.1 - July patch
Orchestrator version: 2026.orch.1.0.0.0-329 (July patch)
