Test Infrastructure
Celona network w/ (1) AP
Device under test (iOS-supported devices only)
Geofence ID, Latitude, Longitude, and Radius keys
TCP dump or pcap file
Wireshark tool
Test Characteristics
This feature requires auto SIM switching to function. Please note that auto SIM switching doesn't happen if more than one PNW SIMs is installed, no matter if the SIM is turned On or Off.
Recorded Data
In addition to the information described in the General Test Details and Characteristics section, the following information is captured:
Any iOS device can seamlessly switch between a private network SIM and a carrier SIM as the user moves in and out of private network coverage.
Verify when they enter the geofence, the private network SIM is enabled and automatically disabled when they exit the geofence and leave private network coverage.
Procedure
Try connecting the iOS device under test with the network.
Verify the iOS device's connection with dual SIMs on the control screen and Status Bar, and walk out with the device to a location with no private cellular network coverage.
Ensure the device is deregistered from the network and in a no-service state.
Wait for 2-3 minutes.
Walk into the Celona coverage zone, observe whether the iOS device is registered with the Celona network, and verify the reconnect time.
