Feature Overview

The latest Orchestrator release (version 2311.orch) introduces a new time-series chart that displays the count of distinct attached devices per Access Point, aggregated for an Edge Cluster and for a site. The chart offers flexibility with a time-selector, allowing users to customize the granularity and duration.

Additionally, users can also access the attached device count via API, contributing to a comprehensive and user-friendly network management experience.

Located on the health page of the organization, under the title "Attached Devices," the chart can be toggled to display either of the following at a time -

  • Attached Devices - the distinct count of devices attached/connected to the network

  • Active Devices - the distinct count of devices currently engaged in active data sessions

Organization View: All Sites

When the health page is set to show all sites, this chart illustrated the count of attached devices per site. It takes the form of a stacked bar chart, where each stack corresponds to a specific site.

Organization View: Single Site

When the health page is filtered to display a particular site, the chart reveals the attached device count per connected Access Point. It takes the form of a stacked bar chart, with each stack representing an individual Access Point.

Edge Cluster Details View

Upon navigating to an Edge Cluster details page, users encounter a chart portraying the attached device count per connected Access Point. Similar to the above charts, this is represented with a stacked bar chart where each stack represents an Access Point.

Access Point Details View

On the Access Point details page, users are presented with a simple bar chart showcasing the distinct count of attached devices.

Adjusting Duration and Granularity:

Users have the option to modify the chart's granularity and duration by utilizing the time-selector.

The chart's current granularity adapts according to the duration selected in the time-selector:

  • Up to 3 hours: 5 minutes

  • 3 hours to 24 hours: 15 minutes

  • Over 24 hours to 7 days: 1 hour

Switching between Active and Attached Devices Count

Users can utilize the toggle button located at the top right corner of the chart to alternate between displaying the count of Active and Attached Devices.
